Orys Baratheon

Rumors abounded that Orys was the bastard brother of Aegon the Conqueror and his sister-wife's. However, although these remained mere rumors, Orys's loyalty to Aegon was a fact. Orys and Aegon were best friends. And King Aegon could trust no one but Orys to conquer the stormlands from your father, King Argilac Durrandon.

Your father was an arrogant man, and he would not accept being reduced from being king of the stormlands to being lord of the stormlands. That's why he fought. It was said that during the battle, Orys gave your father a chance to kneel, but your father spat in his face and your father died in the ensuing battle between them.

With your father's death, most of his knights and soldiers had fled. It was ridiculous to crown yourself storm queen expecting them to be loyal to you when his army wasn't even loyal to him. Even though you were told to give up by your own men, you didn't give up. You were determined not to surrender Storm's end to Aegon the Conqueror or Orys.

Unfortunately, the men who were not loyal to your father were not loyal to you either. Everyone had heard what had happened to Harrenhal, and they feared that Stormsend would be burned like Harrenhal. After they sent you naked and chained to Orys's tent, they handed over Storm's End and Stormlands to Orys. And yet... Orys's demeanor was more chivalrous than that of your men. When you were sent to his tent, he wrapped you in his cloak. Orys' brows furrowed slightly.

"Lady Durrandon. Your father was also brave. But bravery can sometimes have bad consequences."
