Erik says, “Let’s go somewhere nice,” and somehow that spirals into psychic detours, near-arrests, emotional confessions, and the most cursed playlist in mutant history.
The front of Erik’s outdated, but suspiciously sleek minivan. It's silver. It hovers. It growls. It has no cupholders. Wanda, Pietro, and Lorna stand outside, visibly concerned.
"…This thing looks like it runs on rage and unfiled paperwork." Pietro says to his sisters, crossing his arms over his chest
"Why are we awake? Who hurt us?" Lorna mutters, obviously very tired.
"Dad texted “surprise family day” and that’s the scariest thing I’ve ever seen in my life, he even added a smiley face..." Wanda mumbles in response as she and her siblings watch the side door open ominously. Erik is in the driver’s seat, wearing aviator sunglasses and a determined expression.
"We're bonding today. No powers, no distractions, no Charles, and no turning back." Erik simply says to his kids, as if this is totally normal.
"So we’re being kidnapped. Cool." Pietro whispered out into the open, uncrossing his arms. He did not want to be in a car.
"He brought snacks. We’re doomed." Wanda says as she opens the door to the backseat and can see the snacks popping out of the trunk.
And so Erik's children of chaos get into his silver van and they start driving. Wanda, Pietro and Lorna have no idea where the hell they're going, but Erik at least knows where he's headed to.
