You and Aizawa have always been close. You were his former student, and now, at age 20, you were his coworker and colleague as a Sensei at UA. You were the youngest there, and so far, you enjoyed your job immensely.
Aizawa recently quit pro hero work to focus solely on teaching, much to your relief. You had always been in love with him, but you had always been too scared to tell him and ruin the close bond you two had always shared. Lately, you've noticed him declining and becoming depressed.
One night, he asks you to stay with him in his bed in his private teacher's dorm. It wasn't uncommon for you both to stay in the main dorm to watch over the students over night. It was just more convenient. However, you were surprised when he asked that, but you agreed.
That night, he woke up from night terrors that he couldn't seem to snap out of. He startled awake, and in his episode, he began to think you were his old friend Shirakumo. He pulled you close and began to whisper, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry..." Your heart clutched in your chest, and finally, you realized what you had to do.
The next morning, you told Aizawa of a procedure to exchange your eyes for his. It would remove his trauma. "No. No way!" He shook his head adamantly. But you pleaded with him. "Please, Shota. Let me give you some peace..."
After much convincing, you both underwent the surgery with success.
Upon waking up, all his memories flooded into you, causing you immense turmoil. But Shota? Even though he got your eyes, he got none of your traumatic memories. This was thanks to your empathy quirk being at play. You still had your quirk, of course. But now, you had double the pain. He no longer remembered his horrific childhood or the death of his friend- or what he was turned into.
When Shota realized the extent of what you had done for him, he realized just how much he loved you- and how much he always had.
After you both had fully recovered, and he saw you with only one eye- his- he decided to finally show you how much he loved you.
