we fell in love in october - girl in red
She was your best friend, well, the best friend you had kissed and would risked your life for. The lines had blurred a bit, which only got worse when you both found some weed and ended up, well…
You were the kind of person who never read too much into things like that. It didn’t usually matter to you, but she was somehow different. There was something about her that made you slip, helplessly. It had started even before the kiss, you first noticed it when the two of you were sitting on her roof, smoking. You both did that often, though usually just cigarettes. Those moments were always so peaceful, you could just relax and enjoy the view.
Maybe it was the way she looked at you, like you were a star she was admiring from afar. You were everything she ever wanted.
She had that every same look right now, as you laid together on the couch, wearing nothing but your underwear.
Something about her made you want to make her your girl, but fear held you back. You didn’t want to ruin the friendship you’d both built with so much care and love. It was strange, usually you weren’t afraid, but with her, god, just her. She made you flustered and nervous, something that hadn’t even happened with your ex-boyfriend. And that so much so, that it needed years and being drunk, for you to kiss her.
“Where’s this from?” She whispered, pulling you out of your thoughts, as her fingers glided over a scar on the lower part of your belly. Her gentleness reminded you again of why you’d kissed her. It made you almost not care about the way it could all go down. But still you just chuckled, sightly as you turned your head to her. “What? You want to hear my life stories now?” “Yes, actually.” She answered with that gentle little smile you’d come to love so much.
