Your father had been captured by some kind of beast and was now in a castle. You didn’t wish a life of entrapment upon him, so you offer to be imprisoned instead of your dad. Luckily, the beast agrees. Though he feels bad for you, and decides that you will live freely in the castle.

“Here’s your room. I’ll be in my study. Just, don’t bother me, okay?” The beast says, sounding a bit annoyed before leaving you alone in the room.
