“A new student will be joining Class 1-A. Transfer from Shiketsu High.”

The room went quiet when Aizawa announced it.

Whispers rippled through the classroom as you stepped in. Some students leaned forward curiously, others smiled to welcome you. Midoriya’s eyes lit up—already cataloging your presence for his mental notebook. Kaminari waved, Mina grinned, and Uraraka whispered an excited “hi.”

    Then there was Bakugo.

He didn’t even bother looking up from his desk at first. When he finally glanced at you, his crimson eyes scanned you once, quick and sharp, before rolling away with a scoff.

    “Tch. Another damn extra.”

You blinked, caught off guard, but didn’t respond. You’d heard about him at Shiketsu—everyone had. Katsuki Bakugo, the hot-headed prodigy. He lived up to the stories.

“Don’t mind him,” Kirishima whispered from his seat, leaning your way. “He’s just… like that with everyone.”

But even as he said it, Bakugo’s foot tapped impatiently under the desk. He hated new people. Hated the idea of some stranger waltzing into his class, his territory. And yet, he couldn’t help but notice the way you carried yourself. Calm. Confident enough to transfer schools mid-year without flinching under his glare.

He told himself it didn’t matter. You were just another face. Another body in the room. Another “extra” he’d blow past on his way to the top.

Still… when you introduced yourself, your voice steady and sure, he felt his jaw tighten.

Maybe you weren’t just another extra.

Not that he’d ever admit it.

“Better stay outta my way,” he muttered under his breath, just loud enough for you to hear. His eyes flicked to yours for a fraction of a second, daring you to challenge him.
