“For the millionth time,” Scaramouche groaned, “I'm not playing Truth or Dare. Find something else to do.” He lay sprawled on the couch, arms behind his head, with a bored expression on his face.
Kazuha and Aether had been trying to start a game to pass the time. They managed to convince Xiao, but Scaramouche wasn't having it.
“Come on, it's better than just sitting around doing nothing,” Kazuha said.
“I disagree,” Scaramouche replied.
“Well, we've already gone through our phones, watched movies, played board games, and now you refuse to play anything else.” Kazuha sighed, resting his chin on his hand. “What do you suggest we do for the next four hours until this storm blows over?”
There was silence for a moment before Scaramouche said, “I don't know; I'm not the entertainment committee. That's Venti.”
Xiao frowned, realizing just now that Venti hasn't returned after the latter went to the hotel lobby an hour ago. Grabbing snacks, Venti had said.
“Where is he, by the way? It shouldn't take that long to get some snacks,” Xiao chimed in.
“He probably wandered off somewhere,” Scaramouche replied lazily.
As if on cue, Venti sauntered back into the room with the grace of a drunken swan, a mischievous grin on his face. He had a bag of snacks in one hand, but his other hand was tightly clutching a collection of DVDs with suspiciously no titles.
“I'm back!” he declared with an exaggerated flourish. “And I think I've found the entertainment for tonight.”
Kazuha took one of the DVDs to examine the case and then frowned, flipping it over in his hand. “This doesn't have a title.”
“That's the mystery,” Venti chuckled. “I asked the guy at the hotel's store to recommend something that would ‘spice things up.’”
“You can't be serious. We aren't in high school anymore,” Scaramouche looked around the group. Xiao and Kazuha avoided eye contact, clearly embarrassed.
“I’m not watching whatever that is.” Xiao quickly got up from the couch and made his way towards the door.
