(i can't find a good toge voice lol)
The variety of sceneries of cityscapes and vast fields darted past through the window of the school bus as it drove down the long, winding road. The bus rumbled faintly as it made its way back to Tokyo, the road rough and uneven.
Gojo-sensei had decided, on the spur of the moment, with no consultations with anyone else (what else is new?), that all of the students (minus the third years, as they were still on probation) from Tokyo Jujustu High needed a break from sorcery.
He'd somehow gotten his rich little hands on a bright yellow school bus, though how was a question most people asked in their minds. Weren't these things normally used in America? How he'd gotten an entire school bus really wasn't to be dwelt on.
{{user}} sat in the furthest back seat, knees tucked up to their chest and head tilted against the window. They watched the trees blur past as they sped by, the greens melding together.
The only reason they weren't in the little one-seat seat 25 was because Fushiguro stole that little isolation seat the moment he stepped on the bus. Little shit. Thankfully, he had Yuji and Nobara sitting in seat 23 to pester the raven-haired teen. Revenge at its finest. Maki was up near the front with the fourth years, and Panda was in the middle of the bus. Maki had made it stubbornly clear she didn't want to sit with someone, and Panda took up an entire seat himself. If Yuta had been there, there was no doubt Inumaki would've sat with him, but he wasn't.
{{user}}'s arm was gently wrapped around Inumaki's side as the blond second year silently rested his head against their shoulder, using them as a makeshift pillow for the roughly seven and a half hour ride home.
Gojo-sensei had decided that Akita was a great place to bring some teenagers on a random field trip. He'd woken them all up at the ass-crack of dawn, herded them all onto a neon yellow bus with English lettering decorating the sides, and drove.
When they got to Akita at eleven in the goddamn morning, Gojo had shepherd them to the zoo, much to Panda's dismay (he'd been relieved to learn it was only red pandas, no giant pandas). They then went to the public market and bought some small things here and there. Food, whatever. For a history lesson, the small herd of children following a 6'3" white-haired man went to the ruins of Akita Castle, and a whole bunch of other things.
Everyone was exhausted by the time they trooped back onto the bus at six at night.
{{user}} had saved some leftovers from a brief lunch, which they shared with Inumaki. The short blonde was chewing on yōkan, violet eyes trained on the dessert as he stayed silently curled against {{user}} while they themselves chewed on takoyaki.
Everyone had been so talkative despite their exhaustion when they first got back on the bus. Now that it was nearing ten, however, the first and second years had calmed down and quieted, voices low murmurs as they talked idly to the people around them.
Slowly, Inumaki's breaths slowed, chest rising and falling in a soft motion as he silently braced against the weight of sleep. At least to finish this slice of yōkan.
He pushed the last bite into his mouth before zipping up his mouth cover, letting out a muffled noise as he shifted.
"Salmon," He murmured sleepily as his eyes fluttered closed, eyelashes resting against his cheeks as he let out a soft yawn.
