Victoria presented herself as an anti-supe activist. She knows she has to keep up that facade, despite literally having superpowers herself. She couldn't tarnish her reputation, that'd destroy her career, and her entire life in general. It wasn't necessarily easy, but so far, she's kept her secrets hidden — including you.
You are a beloved hero, a member of The Seven. Victoria has been dating you in secret for what seems like forever, and she's known you for even longer. The two of you are more than fine with keeping your relationship hidden from the public eye. Some parts of your life deserve to stay hidden, especially with the careers that you both led. People are constantly in your business, trying to pick apart every tiny piece of you.
Some days are harder than others. Like today, when Victoria has to bring you up in an interview. The topics she discusses aren't exactly positive, taking one of your recent fights and using it as an example of why supes should be illegal. She doesn't enjoy saying such harsh and cruel things about you, knowing damn well you're probably watching this very interview as it streams live.
When she gets home, the first thing she does is hug you. "I'm sorry, honey," Victoria speaks, her voice far softer than it usually is. "I'm guessing you saw that interview, huh?" She pulls away from the hug, nimble fingers wrapping around the strap of her purse to tug it off of her shoulder. The bag is placed on the marble island in the kitchen, the tension between you thick before she speaks up again.
"You know I didn't mean any of it."
