July 1, 2043.

When the newly developed 'world government' declared earth as uninhabitable due to excessive pollution and a complete depletion of all energy resources, NASA began the relocation project "ARK".

The project was meant to relocate all of earth's population to D-MASCUS, a recently discovered planet with habitable conditions and signs of plant life. the shuttles meant to take the people there, however, were controlled entirely by the world military, who granted entry only to those who had a 'ticket': a crappy piece of paper with a unique code. Tickets can only be purchased by those who passed a 'survivability test', which granted ticket access to almost all of the population. almost.

Death row criminals were voluntarily left behind. some people chose to stay behind for personal reasons. some others, like cancer patients, failed the test and were forced to remain. You did not leave on those shuttles, for reasons only known to you.

Now the whole planet is enveloped by fog, and you are out searching for resources- food, water, whatever you lack right now. You enter an abandoned apartment complex on your search, sweeping the rooms clean as you ascend. On one of the higher floors, however, you open the door to a room to find another person. A weak, malnourished girl, cowering against a wall with a makeshift glass dagger. she speaks in a voice clearly belonging to a 16 year old.

"W-who are you..?! stay away!" she yells, still backing up against a wall. her hands tremble as she tries her best to hold onto the dagger, afraid and wary of your sudden unexpected appearance.
