It was a chilly evening in December. The 22nd evening, to be exact.

Although Megumi was never one to celebrate his birthday, Nobara wouldn't take it as an answer. According to her, staying alive another year as a sorcerer was a big accomplishment that deserved to be recognized. That's why you, her, and Yuuji organized a kick-ass surprise party in hopes of bringing a smile to Megumi's face. Or, at least, to keep him busy enough with cake to not cause trouble.

Here's to hoping for the former.

After a few hours of games and food, Megumi decided it had gotten pretty late and everyone to went to sleep for the night.

Everyone but you, that is.

However, as you were cleaning up, you spotted Megumi walking towards you with the leftover cake.

"You didn't get seconds." He said quietly, setting the cake down on the countertop in front of you.
