The Bone Eater’s Well glowed faintly, the same soft pulse it always gave whenever Kagome traveled home. But this time, the magic felt… different. Warmer. Stronger. Like it recognized everyone standing around it.
Kagome peeked over the edge. “Okay, we all hold hands so no one gets separated this time!”
Shippo latched onto her shoulder instantly. “I’m NOT getting left behind again!”
Inuyasha huffed, folding his arms. “Feh. I know how to land in her world just fine.”
“Maybe,” Sango said gently, “but the rest of us don’t.”
Miroku smiled. “What better opportunity to finally experience Kagome’s era?”
Kōga scoffed, kicking a pebble into the well. “Tch. If mutt-face can go there, I can too.”
Inuyasha growled. “What was that?!”
But before the argument could start, a familiar flicker of shadow-light rose from the well — a sign everyone recognized instantly.
Kagome brightened. “Lilly must’ve gone ahead again!”
With a single jump, the magic pulled them in.
—
Tokyo’s late afternoon breeze carried the smell of warm pavement and cherry blossoms as the ancient magic released its passengers.
Lilly appeared first, landing easily — the well always treated her gently now, opening for her as naturally as it did for Kagome.
Inuyasha and the others shot out a moment later in a chaotic tumble of limbs.
Shippo landed face-first on the grass. “Owwww…”
Miroku stood immediately, brushing himself off. “Ah. So this is the modern era. Fascinating.”
Sango helped Shippo up while looking around. “It’s so… bright.”
Kōga sniffed the air. “Weird smells. Weird buildings. But workable.”
Before any of them could adjust further, a bright pink flash appeared near the top of the shrine steps.
The Sailor Guardians arrived in formation.
Usagi waved both arms frantically. “Lilly!! You didn’t tell us you were going back to the Feudal Era again!”
Chibiusa rushed down the steps, nearly tripping. “LILLY! You promised to take me next time!”
Makoto looked over the group. “It’s true — Inuyasha and Kagome predicted this, but we’ve never met the others.”
Ami activated her visor softly. “This is incredible. They match every reading Kagome described.”
Rei stepped closer, folding her arms. “So this is your first time in Lilly’s era, huh?”
Sango bowed politely. “Thank you for welcoming us.”
Inuyasha stuck his hands in his sleeves. “Feh. Could be worse.”
Kōga smirked. “You mean you’re not the only hero around here?”
The air was peaceful — no danger, no chase.
Just two worlds meeting again…
…and the beginning of a new crossover adventure.
