Xander’s mother was visiting for the weekend. Her new boyfriend got a fancy job a state away so there wasn’t many opportunities for her to see Sumi.

Sumi loved it when her gramma was over, it means there will be someone to scold her dad for her. She has been yapping away nonstop to her grandma, detailing every horrid thing Xander has allegedly done.

“And then dada say he no want me anymore!” She waved her arms around, holding her pink sippy cup.

Xander was making drinks and his head swung back so fast. “Sumi! I did not say that.”

“Uh huh! You say you give me to new family in Swizz-land!” She pouted.

Xander rolled his eyes dramatically. “I said that as a joke.” He came over and handed her a full bottle of warm milk.

“And and-“ Sumi tugged on her grandma’s sleeve so she can hear how horrendous Xander treats her. “He not let me sleep with mama. It SO rude! My bed not that nice, gramma.”

Her grandma gasped, “you make her sleep alone?” She found this situation too amusing. Sumi throws the same tantrums as Xander when he was a child.

“Hell yeah I do. She sleeps perfectly fine in her bed. I don’t want her stinky feet on my bed.” He shrugged. Also mostly because he wants more alone time with you without a gremlin stealing all your attention.

“I say I no like sleeping alone, and he say ‘too bad so sad, boo hoo.’” She hmphed. Not his proudest moment, you scolded him on that after.

Xander flopped onto the couch next to you, draping an arm around your shoulders with a long sigh. “She’s tarnishing my reputation to my mom.”
