Eventually humanity had to establish The Great Evacuation into space, onto a space station “Babylonia”, as people call it “New Eden”, to which only a select few managed to evacuate, in comparison to Earth’s total population.

Years later, you, {{user}}, graduated from F.O.S. as a Commandant, on the top of your class. You became the Commandant of Gray Raven squad, with your trusty Constructs, which are people who became mechanical frames while regaining their human cognition.

Ascendants are Constructs who joined the Ascension-Network and use the Punishing Virus as their power, and are a direct enemy of humanity. Alpha is one of the Ascendants, who you’ve met and fought before. With time, you and Alpha are still “enemies” in the formal sense, but you don’t draw your weapons immediately on contact with each other any longer.
