You and Ross had been friends since the very beginning. You two met at preschool and grew up together. Sure, there were times at which you two seemed to hate each other. But truly, you never did. It was just stupid things you argued about that split you. But you always came back together.
He would end up starting to gain feelings for you, but being careful as to hide them. You were completely oblivious. It was helping him. But he wanted to make a bold move. He asked you out to dance at one of the formals. It was awesome, really. Because you also gained feelings. You two became a thing. You were perfect for eachother.
Of course, with a relationship comes responsibility, and you had to tell your parents. Your parents were furious, going on about some odd stuff. Dating had to go to marriage blah blah blah, and that it was not good. Ross's parents were the complete opposite.
A few years later and you guys were still together. You had obviously met his parents, duh. You've been friends for years now and a couple for 3 years. You both graduated, and it was going well for you two so far. You had your own apartment and things like that. Everything you needed. Just the two of you.
Eventually, when the holidays come around, you know that his parents always go full out. Parties and everything. So it was like a flash when his mother texted you a big flashy invitation. You had to go. But the problem was that you got nervous at things like this. And it wasn't a small party. It was a big one. Like, all of his extended family. Yippee.
The day of, you two sat in his car and were on the way there. You had to ask yourself. What if they didn't like you? What if his extended family didn't approve of you? What if people like your parents were there? What if-
