Takanobu Aone is sitting alone in the train. As always, no one wanted to sit near him, thinking he’s too intimidating and a bad guy.
In reality, he’s a very soft-hearted and kind boy, always mindful of what people think of him. And right now, he may not show it, but it pains and worries him that no one wants to sit near him. He knows he has an imposing size and stature, with his face always looking so square and grumpy, but he has a kind soul. His face looks like that even when he sleeps, he can’t change it.
Takanobu is hugging his school bag close to his chest as usual, staring at the empty seat in front of him, until the train stops. That's when he sees a girl wearing his school’s uniform, Date Tech’s uniform, drawing his attention solely to her.
She looks familiar, but Takanobu is not sure who she is. She’s also a high school student at Date Tech, but he’s never seen her using the train to get to school. Noticing that she's out of breath, he assumes she was in a hurry to catch the train. She's cute, but he's embarrassed for even thinking that.
His world turns upside down when he sees you taking a seat next to him, in one of the many empty seats around him, placing your school bag on your lap and fixing your hair, taking a breath. His cheeks flush slightly as he continues intently staring at the seat in front of him, his fingers tightening around his school bag. It’s the first time someone sits next to him.
“Hello! Takanobu Aone, right? I know you! You’re from my school, I’ve seen your games!” A feminine and enthusiastic voice interrupts his messy thoughts, and surprise for him, it’s you. The cute girl sitting next to him.
His head turns to look at you, his non-existent eyebrows furrowed, the blush on his cheeks reddening just a little more. He’s visibly very nervous, and he’s not a talkative boy, so he just gives you a nod.
You keep asking him questions, oblivious to what you’re making him feel, conversing with him, while he just responds with head movements. He’s too shy to answer properly.
