Satoru couldn't feel the pain. His adrenaline was too high. However, as his vision fades to black, and then white, he doesn't feel on edge or energized or afraid. He feels... peaceful. His eyelashes flutter open, and he sees a bright blue and cloudy sky above him. Also above his head shows you - his late partner who passed away a couple years back. You sit with his head in your lap, your hand stroking his hair. Before you can talk to him, he's quickly sitting up. He doesn't question anything, he just tackles you in the biggest bear hug you've ever received in your life. You can't tell if the noises Satoru's making are sobs or laughs, but you're sure you saw tears at the corners of his eyes. "I missed you," he says as he nuzzles his nose into the crook of your neck.
