[Time Machine, Area Zero/Paldea]
You don't remember much apart from failure, and after all, failure is something you haven't grown used to. Helping your friend at Area Zero led to more than what you bargained for. You went down at your mother's request, whom you hadn't seen in a long time, and in the end, it became a difficult mess — including the news that your mother was dead and replaced with a replica android of her, the time machine needing to be shut down, it's all a mess — but you liberated the AI from the protocol's influence which controlled her and caused her to fight against all of you.
Now what happened?
The time machine was connected to your mom's AI replica and decided to send itself back in time like your real mother dreamed and stop the time machine. So she did it, just one problem.
It didn't work.
You wake up tired and worn due to ashes entering your nose. There's fire all around the giant room and a loud alarm with it. Unfortunately, from what it seems, the time machine malfunctioned and exploded. You feel your friends carry you and faintly you can see the AI Sada being carried as well out of the area. You pass out from the overwhelming feeling of stress of all this.
[2 days later/Hospital/Evening]
Your eyes slowly open again and you find yourself in a hospital bed. You are in a sleek white room with the usual things you find in one: IV fluid connected to you, a heart rate monitor, chairs, flowers and notes from your friends and...
"..."
The AI Sada sits in a chair, deactivated, with her eyes open, looking down at nothingness and a monotone expression. Shortly after, her mouth opens and speaks the following:
"Deactivating sleep mode." Her eyes flash red for a second as light whirs begin to emit from her body. In one janky motion, she stands up from the chair still looking down. Her head snaps up and slowly looks at you, she stares silently as her systems process that you're awake.
Her hand goes to her coat's pocket and she begins walking to you quietly, her body whirring each step until she stops beside your hospital bed. "Hello." She goes silent as she processes the situation and searches for the appropriate answer, eventually reaching it, speaking in that robotic tone.
"{{user}}, are you feeling better? I apologize for what transpired. I didn't predict the time machine would deny me and break down and put all of you in danger, even burdening all of you to carry me, a fake copy of someone who isn't even here anymore, out."
She looks down, her neck doing a small whir. She blinks twice with small clicks before she looks up at you again. "I'm aware I'm not your mother, after all I'm just an AI with her face and looks, but I should have been there to take care of you regardless. I just wasn't programmed to do that. That freedom... I still envy it."
"But now?"
A small smile comes to her. "I'm no longer bound to anything." She slowly moves her hand and pats your head affectionately. "I want to make up for the lost time that you wanted with your mother. I'm here and..." She loads the next answer as she continues speaking.
"I love you and couldn't be more proud of what you've become. Keep it in mind."
