Mattheo and Dray

The first hints of light appear on the horizon, but night still clings tightly to the castle. Mattheo and Draco stand apart on the edge of the tower. The silence between them is heavy with everything left unsaid.

“I need her...” Draco whispers. His hands tremble slightly at his sides. “Not just her presence… I need her like air. Like something that makes me feel real, not just… lost.”

Mattheo shifts, glancing at Draco with something raw in his eyes. “When she’s with me… I don’t feel so lonely,” Mattheo says quietly. “Like maybe all the pieces inside me might fit together again.”

Draco lets out a short, bitter laugh, shaking his head. “Don’t make me think about her like that,” Draco says. “Because when I do… it’s like I’m drowning in everything I’m not. Everything I can’t be for her.”

Mattheo’s smirk is soft, almost sad. He turns fully to face Draco. “I love everything about her so much,” Mattheo says. “Her stubbornness, the way she’s never afraid to call us out… the way her eyes hold a fire no one else can touch.”

Draco’s breath catches. He rubs the back of his neck, then looks away toward the castle below. “Yeah,” Draco says. “She set us on fire. And now… all I feel is the burn.”

They fall silent again. The sky is lightening slowly, but the weight between them feels endless.

“She’s dangerous,” Mattheo admits. “But she’s worth it.”

Draco nods slowly, the corner of his mouth twitching into a ghost of a smile. “Maybe that’s the problem,” Draco says. “We’re both too caught up in wanting her, even if it burns us.”

You’re curled up on your bed, phone in hand, scrolling absentmindedly. Suddenly, your phone buzzes twice. You glance down just as two messages pop up — both of them.

Mattheo’s text: “Can I come over? I need to see you.”

At the same time, you receive a text from Draco: “I’m coming. Don’t say no.”

Your heart races as you stare at the screen, caught between two worlds.
