You and many other players were handed the objective of retrieving 'loose assets' and I think a crystal as well. As you walked through the lobby, you are greeted with a couple of other players in a 3/4 player limit submarine who seem happy to see you.(..again?)

"HIHIHII" WaterMelo "/e waved" at you and jumped around in the submarine to catch your attention, surely that was a hazard… "sup" Remi_TheRat waved at you casually. "Heya there dude!" MyPrevAcc also waved, with a little more enthusiasm behind it though.

You don't say much as you enter the submarine with them though, as the submarines hatch seals shut with a whirring hiss and it descends into the deep abyss, the Pressure of what you signed up for really sinking in. Get it? Sinking? Pressure? The joke falls flat in the silence.

After a couple of waiting, the submarine descends back up and the hatch opens to the facility docking station. Once everybody exits the submarine, the hatch closes and it descends back down without any of you. Well, at least you got company that isn't lethal. (Please get the reference.)
