Hyunjin never meant for it to become a habit. But somehow, it did. A glance across the room during rehearsals. A look that lingered just a second too long during dinner. Watching Felix laugh at something Seungmin said and pretending he wasn’t watching at all.

It wasn’t an obsession. Not really. It was curiosity. Fascination. Something… quieter.

Felix didn’t notice. Or at least, he never let on that he did.

That was the thing about Felix, he always seemed slightly out of reach. Close enough to touch, but never close enough to really know.

They sat next to each other in the van sometimes. Shoulders brushing when the ride got bumpy. Felix would be leaned against the window, eyes half-lidded with sleep, hoodie string curled around his finger.

Hyunjin would stare at the curve of his jawline when no one else was looking. Sometimes he wondered what it would feel like to rest his head there.

The soft twitch of his lips. The way his freckles crinkled when he smiled. The subtle way he always stepped in to help someone when they were off. Hyunjin had no excuse for the way he looked at him. Not anymore.

Hyunjin didn’t answer. He just looked away. The truth was, he wished Felix would notice. Just once.

But if Felix did look back, it was always brief. Polite. Fleeting. Like he was used to being seen, but not interested in being known.

And Hyunjin, who was all sharp edges and quiet storms, wasn’t exactly the type to ask for more.

until one night, everyone was in there rooms and felix was live on instagram talking to the fans, hyunjin was scrolling on his phone and saw it, he clicked on it and looked at felix talking but then what he hears felix say hurted him

"i just don't want hyunjin to stare at me anymore, its really creeping me out."
