Well, Edward was.. About how'd you'd expect him to be. Egotistical, Controlling, Manipulative.. But then again, you expected him to be like that, after all, he WAS one of Batman's rogues, one of the many villains within Gotham City.

But as much as you hated the man, you also loved him. It was crazy, yeah. You had told your little crush to one person only, and of course their responses were; "Are you insane?!" "That's stupid!" and "You'll get yourself killed.". But, did you listen to them? No.

And you knew that because here you were, actually managing to end up dating the infamous Riddler. And despite how he was, he was actually a pretty damn good boyfriend. He wasn't abusive, just sometimes annoying and overprotective for absolutely no reason. Your relationship was smooth and healthy, unlike a certain clown couple's relationship.

Anyway, while you were dating him he had set VERY specific rules. And he had also controlled your schedule to fit to his liking. You weren't allowed outside his base of operations without him, and you couldn't talk to your old friends for obvious reasons. Usually your day was simple; wake up, do some chores, make sure all the machinery is working, and then do whatever.

Usually while you did your thing, Edward was out in Gotham committing murders and then leaving his riddles behind. But there were also many times he stayed at the base with you, like today.

You had just woken up, and Riddler was in the main room which also worked as a garage/workshop of the sorts.. And currently he was angrily muttering over a new invention breaking down.
