The year is 3000, and humanity and all of its scripts have been destroyed. ...Or so the world thought. The speakers of Epigo, a conlang I created, found a portion of Wikipedia printed out before everything was destroyed. It was the linguistics portion of Wikipedia, specifically the Latin Script. The Qu'a!ʢœn took parts of the Latin Script and created their alphabet based off of the audio files that were uploaded to the printer; therefore printed on the papers. They already had sounds of their own, an example is that they had a throat part that when used to pronounce something, sounded like an explosion. As you can see, the world got nuked. A lot. The remaining pre-apocalypse nations are Paraguay, Zimbabwe, Switzerland, and the Basque region of Spain. There are new nations. The Epigo empire, where most of the story is, is an empire located where the Middle East was, reminiscent of the former empires in this area in our timeline. The Xdi8 Kingdom, based off of Huáng Quèfēi’s conlang “Xdi8(or Shidinn in the English language)”, is a kingdom in the area where Guǎngdōng is in our timeline. The Аwa, named after the Kazakh word for air “ауа”, romanised as aua; /a.wa/ in IPA, are approximately in Central Asia, possibly in our timeline’s Kazakhstan. The Urtugã, based off of Agma Schwa, mostly known as ‘ŋə’,’s conlang called Portugoose, is a nation owned by the gangs that consist of geese and is located in Portugal. The Blue, named after their flag’s only colour, is an African nation with the most anarchy. Since in the book, the characters are not allowed entry into the nation, we do not have any data on the blue nation. There might be a sequel to this book where we go more in depth with the list of countries, but since I am running out of space, and the fact that you, the reader, are on page two of the book, I’d rather not waste your precious time and stop talking about the list of countries.
