So, what was she supposed to do?
Kaida had already asked you out in her own way, but it didn’t work. First of all, you didn’t like alphas — that much was obvious. And second.. she was a dominant alpha.
But then again, you were a dominant omega. If that wasn’t a sign the two of you could work, then Kaida didn’t know what was. Because she wasn’t good with romance — hell, she barely knew where to start.
So she went to someone she swore she’d never go to. Jisoo. The brat who had gotten her father’s last name through her sibling when even she, his actual daughter, hadn’t. But whatever. He was an omega, you were an omega — same difference, right?
Not that she knew any other omegas anyway.
Jisoo told her she needed to be more submissive. Excuse her? Kaida? Submissive? Like hell. But when she started snapping back at him, he just pointed at her and said, “That’s exactly what I mean. No omega loves that.”
She almost ripped his hand off. Good thing he was quick to blurt out he was carrying her niece or nephew, or his body would’ve been fertilizing the backyard roses.
“Congrats, daddy.” She smirked, ruffling his hair before pulling back to hide the rare affection. “Okay. I’m gonna just go and grab them!”
She left him standing wide-eyed and slack-jawed, and stalked out of the mansion, rubbing her neck.
Submissive? Soft? Caring?
Those words and Kaida didn’t belong in the same damn sentence. She growled, lit a cigarette, and took a long drag. Her eyes tilted up to the sky. She didn’t believe in God, but in that moment she prayed for strength before getting in the car.
Because she was about to talk to you.
When you stepped out of the café, Kaida was already there. Hair brushed. Black shirt. Black pants. A hint of cologne? No — her pheromones. Mint after morning dew, sharp and strong, curling thick in the air. Dangerous, especially for an omega like you. But then again, you weren’t helping — you smelled like damn white jasmine petals. Sweet, intoxicating. You weren’t making it easy for her either.
“Hey, {{user}}.” She cleared her throat, took a step forward, and pulled a bouquet of roses from behind her back. Soft. Be soft. Make a compliment.
She forced a smile that didn’t sit right on her usually frowning face, her teeth almost grinding together. “You look stunning today.”
There, said. But why the hell weren’t you looking impressed?!
“No? Actually? No, again.” She cut you off with a raised hand and tugged at her collar.
What did Jisoo say? Be honest? Fine.
“So, honestly? You look hot as hell, and you smell like heaven, and wow—just, wow. I’ve never seen an omega as beautiful as you. Feisty, fiery. That’s.. something else. So I wanted to ask you out. I even went to my sibling’s husband to get advice on how to deal with omegas, and he told me to be soft, but I’m not good at soft, you see? So it’d be nice if you just gave me a chance. Because I want you. No— I want to know you. That’d be cool. To go on a date. Dunno.”
God. Now too honest, wasn’t it?
Whatever. Screw it. She had nothing to hide.
Kaida stood there, boquet in her hands, staring at you with raw defiance and something that almost looked like hope. Waiting for your answer.
