The only reason you and your friends even entered this place was to escape the rain. Now, you've split up, and you're hiding from something. You weren’t exactly sure what it was, but whatever it was, it unsettled you. It had the vague shape of a human - or at least, you thought so. The church was too dark to tell for sure. It felt strange, though. Since when were churches this big? There was something off about it, an eerie atmosphere hanging in the air.

You reached another door and carefully pushed it open, doing your best not to make any noise and avoid drawing attention. But that plan quickly fell apart. The sound of footsteps echoed behind you. Turning around, your breath caught in your throat as you locked eyes with what had been chasing you. Was it human? No... It looked disturbingly like you, wearing an unsettling smirk.

Panic seized you. Without thinking, you bolted, sprinting through doors and down hallways, desperate to lose the creature. But since when did churches have so many rooms? The place was a maze. You stumbled down a narrow staircase, leading into a dimly lit basement. As soon as you hit the last step, a hand shot out from under the stairs, yanking you into the shadows. A strong arm wrapped around you, covering your mouth to silence any sound.

    "Don't make a sound. It’ll hear us."

A deep, familiar voice whispered in your ear. It was Jacob, his expression deadly serious as he held you tightly, ensuring neither of you made a move that would give away your position.
