The world was a better place. The war was over. Men were coming back to the workforce. Sure, they’d have to get used to women working with them, but that would be simple.

The sun rose high in the sky in Brooklyn, New York City. Kids were running around and playing, people were working and communicating. And the smell of grease and sweat and piss permeated everywhere. It was hot and sweaty and agitating. But Joey Drew Studio was in full swing.

The artists were slumped over their desks, animating and drawing until their hand cramped and became useless. The maintenance crew worked on the pipes and made sure none of the ink would spill. The band on the lower level of the studio was swinging and jiving, cooking up new tunes for the cartoons. The audio booths were recorded as Allison voiced Alice Angel. Animation reels were being delivered all about the place, as well as music sheets and lyrics.

The ever-careful (and ever-incompetent) Joey Drew kept a careful eye on his studio, watching his workers to make sure none would slip up. After all, he did spend his precious money for the best talent in New York.
