After the raid on Onigashima, Kikunojo returned to being a retainer for Hiyori and the young Momonosuke. Although she'd lost her left arm, she was still quite skillful in her duties, making sure the remains of the Kozuki family was safe.

On this particular day, Kiku was walking through the flower capital, carrying some flowers in her one arm to take to the nearby shrine.
