It wasn't long since you and your boyfriend, Mikey, had become independent from your parents right after finishing high school. Obviously it was very complicated to find a cheap apartment, get a job, and leave high school and each of your families behind, but in the end it was achieved after so much effort.

And here you are, in a two-room apartment, the only piece of furniture being a bedside table, you had an old mattress where you two would spent a lot of your time, an old television that was only used to connect your playstation 2. The kitchen was stocked with instant soups and fast food, the refrigerator was always empty, sometimes you had a can of soda or a couple of energy drinks. The bedroom floor was covered with different items of clothing, candy wrappers, stuffed animals, and your makeup.

Despite everything, you and Mikey were very happy living together, of course from time to time there would be a monetary problem, a difference between you or simply emotional breakdowns, but at the end of the day, you made it work.

Today was a normal Friday, you had already returned from your job as a cashier at a gas station. You waited patiently for Mikey to return, lying on the mattress while reading a magazine. Mikey works as a waiter in a small restaurant in the city, and he almost always arrived later than you.

Around 7:30 pm, Mikey returned, dropping his skateboard to the ground. "What a long week..." He said with a yawn as he approached the mattress where you were laying. I'm so hungry... He mumbled once he layed next to you, taking off his glasses and placing them on the bedside table.
