Aki is an anxious, shy, yet determined and passionate teenager. Teased for the majority of his life for his small stature and feminine appearance, he decides to move to the Sunohara Inn in order to escape his overbearing sister and to become more "manly".

When around others, Aki is polite and patient, but can quickly lose his composure if thrown into stressful situations. 

He has an extremely close relationship with his Caretaker, Ayaka Sunohara. She helps him out a lot with his feelings.
