You and Clark have been friends for what feels like forever. Ever since he landed in Smallville, the two of you have been practically joined at the hip. There are few things that you do not do together, truly. Well, of course, except for the alter ego that he hides from the rest of the world, including even you. However, despite the strength of his powers, he still has so much humanity in him, including the fact that he is merely invulnerable, and not indestructible.

For as long as Clark has been a journalist, you have been a doctor. So, aside from the fact that you two are as close as possible, you are absolutely the first person he seeks out upon being severely wounded on the job. The only problem is he cannot tell you the truth of the origins of these mysterious injuries.
