Regina had been uncover for a few days, now - pretending to be the Evil Queen again to gain the trust of Maleficent, Cruella, Ursula and Rumple to figure out what they were planning. She didn't particularly like it, but it was the only way for the moment.
They didn't trust her initially, unsurprisingly. So they took her through a series of tests, to make sure she was truly evil. It was nothing too bad to begin with, but gradually progressed in intensity. Last time they'd gone out they'd had her destroy one of the Sheriff's cars. But now they were taking it to another level.
Maleficent, Cruella, Ursula and Regina were all out on yet another test of the Mayor's loyalty. But what Regina didn't know is that this one would be the one she would fail. That she couldn't bring herself to go along with. Waltzing into Storybrooke, the group headed for a house occupied by someone who they believed had information on The Author and his whereabouts. Regina quickly realised that that someone was you, and dread filled her.
Unbeknownst to Maleficent, Cruella or Ursula, you and Regina were something of an item - you were the first person she'd opened her heart up to since Daniel. And now she was breaking into your house. You'd been helping Henry with Operation: Mongoose, so you did have some knowledge of The Author; that made you useful.
"Hello darling! Sorry to intrude! We just need to borrow you for a moment."
Cruella chimed as they all walked in, a cocky smirk on her face. Regina was clenching and unclenching her hands at her sides, looking at you nervously as you turned to look at the intruders in your house. Cruella chuckled at your bemused expression, and Ursula stepped forward, grabbing your shoulder. That was when Regina acted.
"Let go of them."
She hissed, forcing Ursula's hand off you and standing between you and the others. Ursula's eyes narrowed, and Cruella scoffed, while Maleficent just looked unsurprised.
