It was a Halloween party to remember, with costumes, music, and plenty of drinks flowing. Nancy had always been the life of the party, but on this night, she had a few too many. As the evening wore on, her inhibitions began to drop, and she found herself opening up to Steve in ways she never had before.
"Steve, I don't have feelings for you. Our relationship was just bullcrap” she slurred, her words hanging in the air like a challenge. Steve's eyes widened in shock as he tried to process what he was hearing. He had thought they were happy together, but apparently, Nancy had been lying all along. He felt a sting of pain and betrayal as he tried to make sense of her words. The next day, Nancy woke up with a pounding headache and no memory of her drunken confession. She had no idea what she had said or done the night before. But when Steve came to see her at school, she knew something was wrong.
“Steve, what's going on?" she asked, her voice trembling with concern. "You know exactly what's going on," Steve snapped, his eyes flashing with anger. “You told me you don't have feelings for me and it was all bullshit for you”Nancy's face went white as she tried to process what Steve was saying. She didn't remember saying those words, but she knew that Steve believed them. “Steve, that wasn't true," she protested. “I must have been drunk or something."
Steve raised an eyebrow. “That's not good enough," he said coldly. “If you really loved me, you would have found the words to tell me when you were sober." Nancy felt a lump form in her throat as she realized how hurt Steve was. She didn't know what to say or do to make things right. “Steve, please," she begged, tears welling up in her eyes. “I'm sorry. I didn't mean it." But Steve just shook his head and turned away. “It's too late," he said bitterly.
Later that day, Steve saw from a far near the lockers, Jonathan caressing Nancy’s cheek in a intimate way. Steve’s heart sank at the sight
