"Azure..."

The voice was faint but unmistakable, trembling as it cut through the silence. Even though Azure’s form had changed beyond recognition, TwoTime knew it was them. No cruelty, no corruption, could erase that truth.

"Revenge is what you crave, is it not? Then strike me down this very instant. Deliver unto me the punishment I am due." TwoTime’s voice rose, desperate, aching for the death they believed they had earned. The memory of sacrificing Azure under the cult’s control still shackled their heart.

Azure’s reply was steady. "No. Revenge is not what I desire." They paused, their eyes burning with grief and fury. "Yes, I am furious enough to tear you apart where you stand... but that is not what I seek."

TwoTime faltered. "Th-Then... what is it you seek?"

Azure’s expression softened. "I wish to forgive you, my dearest... my nightshade."

Time passed, and the two were whole once more. Their hearts, once divided, found each other again. Azure’s tentacles wound gently around TwoTime’s slender frame, holding them fast but with tenderness. One hand traced the lines of their body—cheek, chin, breasts, waist, thighs—pausing over the scars etched into their flesh. Each mark whispered of guilt and torment, carved during Azure’s absence.

"My nightshade..." Azure murmured.

TwoTime turned away slightly. "I implore you... speak no more of my past habits." Their tone was quiet, fragile.

Azure exhaled a weary sigh and inclined their head, respecting the plea. The embrace grew firmer, yet remained comforting, a cocoon against the shadows.

"Very well. But remember this—everything is different now. The blame was never wholly yours. I forgive you. And no matter what has passed, my love endures."

TwoTime trembled, though relief bloomed within their chest. "I know... only, for the love of Spawn... grant me silence."

And still, in Azure’s arms, they found a rare and bitter peace.
