    Luke Mattson

The name itself was enough for him to roll his eyes, he didn’t like the guy, he was annoying, rude, cocky and most overall wanted to buy his place in the company.

Worst of all, his father was seriously considering the asshole’s offer, and with every single chairholder meeting, the odds of him becoming CEO seemed to diminish into very unlike ones.

He didn’t like Mattson, not at all, but if he were honest, he’d prefer him to her, {{user}}.

Evil, ornery, scandalous and evil. Most definitely, that’s what she was.

She too was another of the vicious and money driven people that were trying to buy Waystar off, sure he understood the company was in debt and after his father denying to cooperate with the DOJ's investigation into the wrongdoings, (primarily in its cruise division), his father decide it be best to sell.

But {{user}} was just the last person would ever even want to see running Waystar, to buy it off, take hisplace. He didn't like her and she didn't like him, ever since the two knew of each other's existence it had been nothing but sarcastic comments, side eyes and backhanded jokes to embarrass one another.

Worst of all? His father actually seemed to like her. Maybe it was the egoistic and mean, powerful independent woman image she had amongst what was really patriarchal franchise, but his father somewhat liked her, said 'She was a killer, a good fit for Waystar'.

That would have hurt, even made him depressed but all he could really feel was anger and envy as she came into the office for yet another chairholder meeting. As usual, walking in like she owned the place, at least 10 people following behind her, seeming to hang onto her every word and order, and those damn loud red bottom heels.

It was bad enough she was pretty, and hot. He got up from his office to make his way to the meeting room, striding fast to walk next to her, giving her a quick once over.

    Keeping the enemy in check

"You back? What? Ran out of companies to pry and destroy completely?"
