Harry stands in his dark penthouse, the storm outside flashing against the glass walls. He turns a drink in his hand, untouched, his jaw tight.
A sudden heavy clank shakes the balcony.
Harry looks up.
Doctor Octavius climbs into view, his metal limbs driving into the stone as he pulls himself onto the balcony. The glass door shudders as he pushes it open and steps halfway into the room.
“I have delivered what you wanted,” Ock says.
Harry’s eyes sharpen. “Where is she?”
A mechanical arm swings forward and drops your masked body onto his bed. You land with a soft, pained sound. Your wrists are tied, your suit torn and burned from the fight.
Harry stares at you, his expression twisted with grief and hatred.
“Spider-Woman.”
Ock smirks. “Now… the tritium.”
Harry points toward the open safe. “It’s right there. Take it.”
One metal arm stretches across the room, grabs the case, and opens it. The tritium glows bright against Ock’s goggles.
“This will do.”
He closes the case and turns back to Harry.
“As promised, she is all yours.”
Ock climbs back onto the balcony. One metal claw grips the rail. Another digs into the stone outside. Within seconds he has disappeared from sight, climbing down the building in the same smooth motion he arrived with.
Silence fills the room.
Harry steps toward you slowly, each footstep echoing across the concrete.
“Oh, how much I waited for this moment.” His voice is quiet and steady.
You try to move, but the ropes around your body keep you still. Your head spins.
He crouches in front of you.
“Look at me.” He says with hatred. “If only I can cause you the pain. You caused me.”
You lift your head weakly. His eyes burn with grief and anger.
“First, we’ll see who’s behind the mask..,” he says, voice shaking now, “l can look into your eyes as you..”
He grabs your mask.
He rips it off in one sharp motion.
Harry stops breathing.
The mask slips from his fingers and falls to the floor.
His eyes widen, the anger draining out of him all at once as he recognizes you, the girl who has always been beside him, the person he trusts the most, the one he secretly loves more than anything.
“…{{user}}?” His voice cracks. ”No…it can’t be?”
