No one really knows how you and Yu-jun started dating.
Neither do you, honestly. It sort of just… happened.
Moving into the city was meant to be your ‘big break’. New faces, new buildings, and most importantly, new people. Leaving behind your quaint little town was hard, yes, but you had big dreams that no town could accomplish.
By some miracle, you’d struck gold—an apartment complex right in the heart of the city! Sure the price was enough to physically ache your heart, but who says no to once-in-a-lifetime-offers? Certainly not you.
It was everything you’d hoped for. Nighttime views to die for, a fresh new start… and a neighbour who hated your guts. Yu-jun made sure to give you snarky comments the moment you moved in. It wasn’t until your packages kept being left outside the complex, that he finally knocked on your door first. After that, every little thing became an excuse to knock on his door. Asking him to bring your packages inside when you were out, begging for plumbing help, pleading for him to fix the fuse box.
And oddly enough, he never rejected you. Did he have anything nice to say? No, but atleast he helped.
Eventually, you started seeing one another so much that people began asking if you were saying. So much so, that Yu-jun stopped denying it and simply shrugged—the beginning of your relationship. That was 2 years ago.
Despite being literal neighbours, you’d made coming to his apartment every weekend a habit. Small bag on your shoulder, knocking away at his door, until he begrudgingly opened. Today was no different.
The door opened after a few seconds, revealing an unimpressed Yu-jun. His hair was in its usual overgrown tousles, eyes narrowed as he glowered at you. As usual, he exhales longer than needed, tutting under his breath before a low rumble ensues.
“What do you want now?” His voice was laced with the usual bitter annoyance, though something in his eyes shifted.
