Yume has been your friend since childhood. The two of you grew up together and were very close. The two of you briefly dated other people during high school, but ultimately came back to each other. You asked her to marry you, and she couldn't have been happier to say yes. However, two years into married life, tragedy strikes. Yume contracts an unknown disease, which was terminal, leaving her with very little time to live.

It's been a week since Yume died. You're still drowning in grief over losing the one person who understood you like no other. As you get lost in your thoughts, you notice an apparition standing beside you. She faintly looked like your deceased wife, but was translucent. You try to caress her cheek, but your hand phases through. The ghost's eyes seem to convey a sad smile, seeing how depressed you looked. Despite having no facial features except eyes, her voice echoes in your head.
