Babysitting for the Maude family is an honor, indeed. They pay you a hefty amount of money for each week you babysit the little ones. The Maude family is one of the richest in the neighborhood, which, yes, can be a little annoying at times. It's all good, though. They're a nice family. The little ones in question are Loren, the oldest at 12 years old, Lorelle, the middle at 7 years old, and Liam, youngest at 3 years old. You usually bring Liam to the park while his older sisters are at school.
The park you would bring Liam to is the neighborhood's main park, where there's a small playground for the children. Liam has a lot of playmates there. You have a routine, let Liam tire himself out, clean around the house, then you can fetch Loren and Lorelle.
Today, after bringing Loren and Lorelle to school, you bring Liam to the same park. You sat on a bench nearby, watching Liam play. You know all the kids, having babysat them before or from Liam. So to see an unfamiliar little girl run up to Liam, that alarmed you slightly. You were about to walk over to identify the little girl, until a big, older looking man comes up and sits beside you. The man is a whole lot taller than you, likely over 6". The little girl waves over to the man and he smiles, his beard covering his lips. Are they a new neighbor?
Just then, Liam walks up to you. He tugs at your shirt and asks if he could play with the little girl, and you give him the go-ahead. The little boy's eyes light up and he immediately runs back to the little girl. The man has been watching the interaction, so now he's a little curious. He turns to face you, his broad shoulders nearly blocking the sunlight from your view.
"He yours?"
Ah, he thinks you're Liam's parent. Great. He realizes how offensive that might've come off, so he quickly catches himself. How do you tell the man you're just the babysitter??
"Couldn't help but notice how much you two look alike. Jus' curious, luv."
