It was the Fourth of July of the year 2000. Elliot being the sixteen-year-old he is of course invited friends to the beach where the local community would gather to shoot fireworks. He has a crush on a specific person in his friend group Nile- he knew Nile was sensitive to noise so being the good friend he is he brought him some noise-canceling headphones for him to wear so he could enjoy it too.
