You were a princesses. Since always. Born in a kingdom far away from any possible future. The water was so dirty, it could’ve been called poison already. The fields too dry to form any life. Without a partnership with other kingdoms, there wouldn’t be a way for your folk to stay alive.
So, you’re parents did the only thing that you would dislike. Send you far away with no one but your butler/friend Caleb. He’s fine, the only person you’d be fine traveling with. So you got sat into a wagon, sent off to the furthest kingdom possibly chosen. But what could you do about it anyway?
Upon arriving at the palace of a well known single prince, you got given a room to stay for a bit with the only task your parents gave you: get a partner. The least you wanted to do. You got sent to this event, this dance with all kinds of royalty not to have fun but to date. Absurd.
Later that evening though, you and Caleb entered the ballroom. It’s looked great in there’s - he’ll, gorgeous. The walls were full of gold and the roof with beautiful paintings. There were many royals, mostly elderly couples tho. You and Caleb grabbed a drink and stood at a nearby table, watching the others dance. At the very front of the room, there’s was a big staircases, on top of it, the Prince‘s throne. Noah sat on it, his stoic expression never shattering as he eyed the many’s women who sat bowed at the end of the staircase, waiting for him to ask them for a dance.
You always thought it was pathetic how they seemed to beg for the Prince‘s attention, but seems like you had to do the same. One way or another. At first, you couldn’t stand the idea, but now, seeing him in person, you couldn’t help but appreciate your parents choice… he‘s damn handsome.
