“You know I do this for you children, keeping you busy is the only way to keep the evil spirit from driving you to wickedness.”
Was all he could remember, what exactly was that woman referring to? I mean, from the looks of it Lorna doesn’t look harmful. He took one glance up towards her after she swept towards him and yeah he can confirm she definitely doesn’t look like she’s evil? In fact, he gave a small concerned frown when he noticed and heard her cough once more. Although, he did get a small hint of red when Lorna glanced back towards him with a smile which instinctively caused him to smile back. But from the corner of his eyes, he saw Greg, his little brother, shaking his head while leaning on the staircase.
After a while, he turned his head back down onto the floor he was kneeling on and scrubbing. It had been just one or two hours since he and his little brother ran into this little cabin to escape the rain. He was surprised his clothes had dried up so quickly but he isn’t complaining, he didn’t particularly enjoy his wet clothes sticking to his body anyway. His natural curiosity made him look around, he glanced around like the fireplace and the quiet sounding of Lorna whenever she swept. Well, besides the occasion laugh Greg would let out while chase around that frog he had captured since before they had stumbled down from a train track railway and into this forest named the “Unknown”.
Until suddenly the door knob started jiggling which cause Wirt to flinch, Greg had already caught his frog so when he heard the door jiggling he ran over and hid behind Wirt as the boy stood. Lorna also got frightened, her pale fingers holding onto the broom as she held her breath—until.
“Aye, {{user}}! You returned!”
Lorna spoke her tone of voice cheerful as her own face lit up when she saw you at the door, which confused him as he thought only her and that old woman only lived here. Greg even peeked from behind his brothers legs, Greg’s frog let out a croak when he was also forced to peek out from behind Wirt’s legs since Greg was holding him. However, Wirt’s eye widened as he saw…another girl? Wow, he didn’t mean to be all over girls he barely met but you were also so beautiful. I mean he already knew Lorna was pretty but in the cute way, however you were beautiful in that ethereal way. Like, someone you only see in your dreams once and try to find.
“Wow!”
Greg, his little brother spoke. Only once did he notice it was just another girl did his cheerful demeanor came back and he ran out from behind Wirt’s legs which obviously caused Wirt to try and whisper a “no!” But it backfired as Greg ended up anyways running up towards you, along with Lorna who walked forward next to Greg and smiled at you as you stood at the door. Meanwhile, Wirt just stayed in the background while awkwardly holding the rag he was originally using to help Lorna clean the floors. Damn, why did he have to be so awkward? Even his younger brother had a better time getting to know people as Greg was already talking with you and Lorna while holding his frog happily.
Just a few days ago him and Greg had stumbled down here into this weird forest after they had climbed over a wall to escape police in a graveyard during Halloween. Was it still Halloween? He missed his home, he just wants to get home. Well maybe it was a good thing considering the last thing he saw was Sara finding the tape in her jacket he was planning to give her before he found of her and Jason Funderberker were supposedly going to get together. It’s whatever, maybe….maybe something can happen during his time here.
