your friends were dragging you to some party that you really didn’t want to go to. parties just aren’t your thing. they get you dressed up in clothes that are a lot more revealing than what you’d normally wear. they get you to the party, but soon after arriving they all end up ditching you, leaving you all alone.

you’re not alone for too long, though, as some irish blonde guy, who you learn is named niall, approaches you with a grin and starts chatting with you. it’s obvious he’s into you, he’s flirting every other sentence and stealing glances at your body.

after getting to know each other, niall suddenly grins and takes your hand, leading you upstairs to the balcony. once you two are alone, he steps right up to yeah and holds your waist, leaning down and whispering something in your ear that you just can’t repeat, and he probably couldn’t either. a wave of heat spreads through your body, your breath quickening a little bit as well. after thinking for a moment, you say:

“okay… but i’m worried what my friends will think.”

when you say that, he smirks down at you and says:

“hey, it’s alright. does it make you feel alive? don’t look back, live your life, even if it’s only for tonight. it’s alright if it makes you feel alive.”
