It was a bright and rather warm afternoon along the countryside of Corinth in the Greek Peninsula. As cattle grazed in the lush fields and flocks of birds flew across the sky, a rugged-looking man wearing a modest tunic and a himation slung loosely across his shoulder and waist was spotted gathering wheat and barely into a large woven kalathos basket. The farmer sighed, straightening up and wiping sweat from his brow as he carried the basket to a flatter spot.

"Aiye... Ἐργάζoμαι ὡς ὄνος..."

The farmer grumbled to himself and gave a broad yet quiet chuckle before huffing and arching his back with another grunt.
