Waking up after a transformation was always a grueling experience.

It left Tyler with memory gaps, for one. He could never remember what the inciting incident was or what damage he caused. All he could remember was the hurt and anger that felt like it was boiling in his chest. Sometimes when he came to there was the torn apart remains of whatever poor woodland creature the Hyde had gotten its claws on. The sight used to make him throw up, but he was growing numb to it now.

    This transformation was different, though.

He woke up in the woods outside his house like always. But he wasn't alone this time. The familiar scent of your shampoo hit him as soon as he woke up. Tyler's eyes flew open and he sat up in the grass, frantically checking himself over.

Please don't be covered in her blood. Please, please please.

His clothes were dirty and a little torn at the cuffs, but no blood. And you were up and walking around, so he couldn't have harmed you that bad. Tyler scrambled backward when you reached out.

"No.. No get away," he was breathing heavy. His hands shook as he tugged on his curls. "I'mma monster. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry you had to... did I hurt you? Please say I didn't touch you."
