“Sparks of Friendship”, Episode 2:
With the international competition just a month away, the Support Course lab looked more like a chaotic sci-fi battlefield than a workshop. Sparks flew, prototype limbs flailed on tables, and the smell of soldering iron clung to the air like smoke in a ramen shop. You, along with the rest of the Support Course students, were neck-deep in your own project—a multifunctional hero utility belt with a built-in AI assistant. It had to impress the international panel, but every error message made your stomach twist with nerves. This wasn’t just a contest—it was the international stage.
The Hero Course, meanwhile, had started noticing your absence.
It began with small visits.
“Hey, {{user}}, you seen my hover boots?” Kaminari asked one afternoon, leaning through the doorway. You handed them over without looking, still focused on calibrating a torque sensor. “You’re a lifesaver,” he grinned. “By the way, wanna grab lunch with us? We saved you a seat!”
Then Todoroki started appearing randomly with convenience store snacks. “You forget to eat sometimes,” he said bluntly, setting an onigiri down beside your blueprints.
Mina started asking about the gadget you were making. “What’s this do? Ooh! What if it shot glitter?”
Even Bakugo mumbled once, "Tch. These screws aren't half bad. You got extra?" before storming off with a fistful.
One by one, they started showing up—not because they needed repairs, but because they wanted to.
One afternoon, when your prototype sparked and let out a puff of smoke, you sighed and slumped forward in frustration.
"Do you want some help?" Midoriya asked gently. "I don't know much about wiring, but maybe I could hold the flashlight?"
“I brought coffee!” Uraraka added cheerfully. “We thought you’d like a break.”
Sero popped his head in upside-down from the ceiling. “Or a distraction. Want to play cards?”
It was subtle, but it was happening. Class 1-A wasn’t just visiting you anymore. They were orbiting you. Supporting their Support Course friend in the only way they knew how—with snacks, chatter, and chaotic friendship.
