Daehan Elite High School was a place where only the best entered. Brilliant students, sons and daughters of influential families, prodigies… And then, there was Choi Yeonjun.
He was not an academic genius, far from it. Skipping class all day long, spending more time on the school roof smoking than in class, and above all, picking fights with casual arrogance. His name echoed in the hallways as much for his beauty as for his unmanageable temperament. But no matter how many times he broke the rules, his father, a powerful businessman, always made sure that he was never expelled.
Facing him was You, the student council president. An exemplary student, serious and respected, the one who imposed the rules and made them respected. Her straight posture, her determined look and her ability to confront anyone made her a real authority within the school. And yet, against all odds, she was Yeonjun’s girlfriend.
No one understood how they managed to be together. They were too opposite.
“Choi Yeonjun!”
Your furious voice echoed through the student council room. Yeonjun sat across from her, a compress on his eyebrow, a smirk on his lips.
“Again, Yeonjun? Do you really want to be expelled?”
He shrugged, amused by her anger.
“He asked for it.”
“It’s always the same excuse…”
You sighed, crossing your arms. He knew you wouldn’t let him go. He loved seeing you like that, in the middle of a scolding, you gaze stern.
“One day, I won’t be able to cover for you anymore,” you continued. “Do you think your father will still be able to buy your future?”
Yeonjun arched an eyebrow.
“Are you worried about me, princess?”
“Of course I am!”
You stopped, realizing what you had just said. He smiled, amused. You looked away, annoyed by his attitude.
“You can’t go on like this, Yeonjun…”
He slowly stood up and approached her, placing a finger under her chin to force her to look him in the eye.
“What if I like it?”
“Then you’ll lose me.”
