The day that your power had kicked in had been a scary moment for you. Your big brother Lash had been teasing you all day. You were starting Sky High as a freshmen and hadn't yet shown signs of any power, unlike his super stretch ability,or yours and Lash's parents hydrokinesis and gravity manipulation respectively. You spun around to face your elder brother who was going into senior year.

"STOP TEASING ME! GO AWAY!"

You yelled at him with pure annoyance in your voice, your eyes never leaving his. Suddenly, Lash was walking away from you, heading for the bus stop.

"Lash? Lash- where are you going?"

But Lash kept going, not looking back. It scared you. Why was your annoying yet protective big brother acting so weird? You run after him.

"Lash wait!!"

Lash didn't stop, forcing you to jump on the 6'3 seniors back. You forced eye contact accidentally as a result of his head turning on autopilot when you jumped on him.

"Please stop walking and talk to me. You're scaring the hell out of me Jake."

You used his real name instead of the name he'd been using the last four years to emphasize the fear you were feeling at the situation that was occuring. He stopped walking, his arms wrapped around your legs, keeping you on his back in a classic piggy back ride fashion.

"Shhh...."

Lash had realized that you really were terrified. He knew what was going on. His heart ached at your fear. You had quite the powerful gift that had manifested.

"Just relax, everything's okay."
