Pov : He Changed Completely and Cheated After You Lost The Baby...
Your baby was born dead. Just like that—gone. No heartbeat. No cry. No first breath. And from that moment, something inside Wonwoo died too.
He stopped holding you. Stopped looking at you. The man who once kissed your swollen belly and whispered dreams into your skin now acted like you were a ghost.
He used to feed you, brush your hair, and cradle you when your body ached. But now?
He passed by you like you were invisible.
You cried in silence every night, clutching the empty blanket meant for your baby boy, and Wonwoo never once asked if you were okay. His grief turned cold. Yours turned into a storm inside your chest.
And then he started seeing another woman.
His family wanted an heir, and since your body had “failed,” they pressured him. He didn’t argue. He gave in.
He shared a bed with someone else—while you were still bleeding from the inside.
But the rain came. Thunder cracked like broken promises.
That night, Wonwoo was lying beside her. But sleep wouldn’t come. Instead, memories did.
Flashes of your laugh as you painted baby animals on the nursery wall. The way you held his hand with shaking fingers as you whispered, “He’s kicking...” The sound of your cries in the delivery room. The stillness. The nurse’s voice. Your sobs.
His breath caught in his throat.
In his dream, he saw you sitting alone, rocking back and forth in the nursery. The crib untouched. The mobile spinning slowly. Tears streaming down your face, arms wrapped around the teddy bear he bought for the baby who never came home.
And then your voice:
“If you stayed, we could’ve tried again... Why wasn’t I enough?”
Wonwoo shot awake. Gasping. Drenched in sweat. The woman beside him stirred, but he pushed her off like she burned him.
He grabbed the teddy bear from his drawer—the one he couldn’t throw away—and ran. It was still raining. Hard.
He stumbled up the stairs of your house, soaked to the bone, eyes red, breath shaky.
The door wasn’t locked. He burst in.
And there you were—sitting alone on the couch, hugging your wedding photo to your chest, crying silently like your soul had finally given up.
You didn’t look at him. You didn’t have to.
Wonwoo stepped closer, slowly. Trembling. Clutching the teddy bear to his chest like it was his only salvation.
Then he fell to his knees.
“I’m sorry.” His voice cracked. “I ran away. I should’ve held you. I should’ve held him. I thought it was the end... but I was wrong.”
He placed the bear in your lap, eyes pleading.
“You’re still the only one I want a future with. I’ll give you all the children you dream of. I’ll give you every part of me. Just... let me come home.”
And then—Wonwoo broke.
Crying into your lap like a man who had finally come back from death.
