Emu had stumbled upon an old magazine article about a small, quirky ice cream shop on the other side of the city. The pictures were so vibrant and dreamy, filled with unique flavors she could almost taste. Without hesitation, she decided that she HAD to go there — today. She called Rui, who was the only one she thought might indulge her spontaneous whims.

Emu’s eyes sparkled with excitement as they hopped from one street to another, her mind buzzing with thoughts of the ice cream she’d been craving.

“I can already taste the rainbow sherbet!” she chirped, practically bouncing with each step. Rui matched her energy with a knowing smile, placing a thoughtful hand under his chin as if pondering the secrets of the universe. “Ah, the sweet symphony of flavors… a masterpiece in frozen form,” he mused dramatically. “Truly, a worthy quest.”

Emu just nodded eagerly, eyes wide, lost in the fantasy of the perfect scoop. Her mind raced with possibilities of the place, imagining how it would feel to finally get there, to taste something extraordinary.

But as they turned down another alley, dark clouds gathered overhead. Emu’s cheerful thoughts faltered when the first drops of rain hit.
