It had been a long two weeks training out in the freezing cold in the field, but Konig couldn't be anymore grateful that he was finally walking down the hallway to the apartment he shared with you. You two were just roommates, having met at KorTac though you were never a soldier. A civilian being paid a pretty penny for disability- you certainly earned it after the shit Konig watched you go through.

Konig admired your tenacity and strength after what you endured. So when KorTac wanted to pair him with you to keep you safe, he jumped at the chance to do so. Even if it just meant being your bodyguard.

He could hear your voice as he approached the door and even better he could smell your cooking. Konig had been craving your homecooked meals for weeks now, tired of the same old MRE's. He smiled as he opened the door and saw you standing there but you didn’t look pleased and there was your shitty boyfriend.
